Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scratcher not scrubber I've had ceramic stovetops for 9 years and love them. I usually use a cleaning product and razor blade to clean the stovetop but had misplaced my razor, so I grabbed a Vileda scrubber that I had purchased at some point. I was horrified after cleaning to notice the scrubber had completely changed the look of the finish. This has never happened to me before. The fairly large spot has totally lost it's sheen. It totally took the finish off. After 9 years of perfect stovetops, it's now permanently marred. How I wish I could go back and start over. I will never use a Vileda scrubber again.

Can i use it on ceramic coated cookware? such as a wok or a fry pan

Asked by: starchildcn
Hello, thank you for your question! The Vileda Glass ceramic Scrunge is recommended by Schott for Ceran glass ceramic surfaces. We recommend using the Glass Ceramic Scrunge for stovetops. However, by reading the cleaning directions of your ceramic coated cookware, you will be able to see whether the scrunge can be used to clean them. The Vileda Multi-Use Scrunge is a great example of a multi-purpose cleaning sponge. Thank you for trusting Vileda.

Is it safe to use the Scrunge Glass Ceramic Scrub Sponge on enamel coated cast iron dutch oven and on a porcelain sink?

Asked by: Natseg
Hello, thank you for your question regarding the Vileda Ceramic Sponge. The Ceramic Scrunge Sponge is designed to clean glass stove-tops, thus unfortunately, we cannot recommend using it for your enamel coated cast iron Dutch oven nor the porcelain sink since this has not been tested. However, the Vileda Bathroom Scrunge Sponge (http://www.vileda.ca/product/scrunge-bathroom-scrub-sponge/) works perfectly to clean all kitchen sinks and ovens with its patented surface and extra-thick soaking sponge. The Bathroom Sponge is ideal for cleaning without scratching plus, it rinses clean and resists odours!
